The Perry Hotel Key West: Detailed Review

July 18, 2019stampthatpassport

If you’re looking for a hotel outside the hustle-bustle of the city, then The Perry Hotel in Key West is where you ought to be. Only a few miles outside the Key West downtown The Perry Key West is located overlooking a marina on the Stock Island. Yes, you read that right! Half the rooms in this upscale boutique hotel are facing a gorgeous pool and a marina and the other half are facing a saltwater lagoon and mangroves.

Note: We were kindly invited by the team of Perry Hotel to experience their bespoke hospitality. This review depicts our own views of the hotel with no influences whatsoever.

As their website mentions, each room in the Perry Hotel Key West is a blend of contemporary and rustic furnishings. All the rooms offer spectacular water views either of the pool and marina or saltwater lagoon with mangroves. The in-room amenities include a fully stocked bar, television, WiFi, balcony, work desk and chair, and a coffee maker. The first floor rooms also feature outdoor showers.

The hotel houses two restaurants: Matt’s Stock Island Kitchen and Bar & Salty Oyster, both offering decadent seafood and drinks. Don’t forget to check out their Happy Hours! I personally loved having drinks at the Salty Oyster by the pool.

Okay, we all know Florida is best known for its warm weather, sandy beaches, and seafood, and what better place to enjoy all three together than at Key West. The Perry Hotel Key West resort is located only a few miles from Key West on Stock Island. It’s close proximity to Key West is exactly what makes this hotel a perfect vacation spot. You are close to everything good about Key West to giving yourself a perfect staycation in Key West at the Perry Hotel. And, let’s not forget that they have a gorgeous marina right there. You can go out kayaking, paddle-boarding or just dock your boat there and sail it out later. You name it, they have it!

A few brownie points to The Perry Key West for:

  1. Free shuttle to Key West and back.
  2. Pool Side drinks from the bar
  3. Outdoor showers in select rooms.
