La Maison Favart, Paris: Hotel Review

May 29, 2019stampthatpassport

La Maison Favart is a small stylish hotel with 31 unique rooms. The hotel is designed to blend into the French community and reflect the original French neighborhoods and culture around it. Being small in size, the staff offers a more intimate vibe to deliver customized guest services. The around-the-clock concierge service has a deep knowledge of their Parisian neighborhood, where to eat, and things to do.

Each room offers a unique and tasteful color scheme, vintage wallpapers, and classic furniture. Bathrooms feature powerful walk-in showers with baths in a few rooms. The hotel also has two suites and two duplexes for larger groups, and La Petie Maison, a self-contained annex that also benefits from the hotel services.

Food & Lobby

La Maison Favart has a set breakfast menu every day. You get pastries, croissants, and viennoiserie or a buffet with hot items such as scrambled eggs and cold cuts is served in a small dining room off the lobby. The dining room has a pink-white decor.

The hotel lobby is my favorite place. The furnishings speak of 18th-century charm and give you true Parisian vibes. Its small cozy nature makes you feel comfortable instantly.

Tucked away in a quiet street it is only a stone throw away from Opera Comique – the hotel is also named after the owners of the opera. Apart from its 18th-century charming decor, its location from a few major attraction points is also one of the reasons it is popular among the tourists. The grand Palais Garnier opera house and picturesque Palais Royal are 10 minutes away by foot and the Louvre is also within comfortable walking distance. The hotel does not have a parking place but it has a tie-up with a huge public parking place only a few minutes from the hotel. You can talk to the concierge to get good discounts for parking.

The hotel features a subterranean indoor pool, a sauna, and a self-service massage bed.
